FOR PERMANENT MAKEUP CLIENTS! Pre-Care Instructions: Avoid Blood Thinners: 24–48 hours before, avoid alcohol, caffeine, pre-workout drinks, fish oil, and aspirin to reduce bleeding and excessive swelling. Skin Prep (Brow/Face): Stop using Retin-A, retinol, glycolic acid, or harsh anti-aging products at least 3 days before the procedure. Avoid Sun Exposure: Do not arrive with a sunburnt or tanned face. Avoid tanning beds and direct sun for 2 weeks prior. Skincare and Waxing: No chemical peels, laser treatments, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks prior. Waxing or threading should be done at least 2–3 days before. Lip Specifics: If getting lip blush, start taking anti-viral medication (if prescribed) 3 days prior to prevent cold sores. Keep lips hydrated with balm. Aftercare Instructions: (First 7-14 Days) Keep it Dry: Avoid swimming, saunas, hot tubs, and long, steamy showers. When showering, keep your face out of the water spray. Clean Gently: Gently cleanse the area with cool water and a mild, fragrance-free cleanser to remove lymph buildup, typically starting the morning after the procedure. Moisturize Sparingly: Apply a very thin layer (rice grain size) of provided ointment (e.g., A&D, Aquaphor) 2–3 times daily to keep the area from drying out, but do not oversaturate. No Picking: Do not pick, peel, or scratch scabs, as this will cause pigment loss and uneven healing. Avoid Makeup: Do not apply makeup on or near the treated area for at least 72 hours to 10 days to prevent infection. Lips: Keep lips hydrated, avoid spicy or citrus foods for the first few days, and drink through a straw. Long-Term Care and Precautions Sun Protection: Apply SPF 30+ to the area once fully healed to prevent premature fading. Avoid Harsh Products: Avoid anti-aging creams, glycolic acids, and retinols on the treated area, as they break down pigment. Schedule Touch-ups: Plan for a touch-up session in 6-8 weeks for perfection, then every 1-2 years for maintenance.
